Porto striker Jackson Martinez has agreed personal terms with Italian outfit Napoli.
The Italian side who finished second in Serie A last season now look to add to the signings already recently made, including the signing of Gonzalo Higuain and the loan move of Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina.
The player’s agent, Manuel Manzo has insisted that the Columbian wants to continue his playing career in Serie A, however Napoli will have to meet the player’s clause in his contract which is set at 40 million euros.
Porto will try and hold onto the striker as he netted 26 league goals in his debut season for the Portuguese club.
The agent told Sky Sport Italia: “There’s an agreement with the player, but we’re missing one with Porto and the club don’t want to sell him.
“The only way it could happen in my opinion is that they pay the 40million euro release clause, otherwise he won’t leave.”
